May Bulletin

News From The Worshipful Master

Brethren,

Beaver Valley Lodge hopes that you and your family had a very happy and enjoyable Easter. This is a wonderful day to celebrate the resurrection of the Supreme Architect of the Universe.

April was a very busy month for Beaver Valley Lodge. On the 21st of April the Past Masters portrayed the EA Degree. They preformed an excellent degree with their letter perfect ritualistic work. Good job Past Masters. Then on the 28th day April we portrayed the MM Degree. I would like to thank all the brethren that helped raise this brother to the sublime degree of Master Mason.

On May 5th Beaver Valley Lodge will hold their Monthly Stated Dinner at 6:30 pm. Kay Cohen will be supplying the meal that night. She is serving beef stroganoff and noodles. Then at 7:30 pm we will hold our monthly Stated Meeting. We will not have a meeting on May 19th because the Temple was rented out. Also we will not have a meeting on the 26th because there is not a candidate ready to pass onto the next degree.

The 8th District will be holding its Annual Golf Outing on June 11th at 8:00 A.M. Registration will start at 7:00 A.M. It will be held at Locust Hills in Springfield, OH. The cost is $50 per man or $200 per 4 man team. The round will be a scramble format. Registrations are due by June 4th. If you need an application please contact WB Bruce Gardner or myself.

Scottish Rite of Dayton asked the lodges to please post in their bulletin an announcement to their members who are in the rear of their dues. If you are in the rear with your dues for 2 years you will be suspended for non-payment of dues on May 31st. The dues are $80 each year. Check your dues card and see if it says 2011. If you have any questions please contact the Valley of Dayton Office (937-222-9103). Please check into this matter because the Scottish Rite does not want to lose you as a member.

Fraternally,
Stephen L. Scarpelli

Ormus Grotto #24 News

Hello prophets and ladies,

Well I think that spring is finally here, the trees are budding, the flowers are blooming and the grass is turning green. I want to take the time to thank all the people that joined us for the annual Easter party held on April, 23rd. It was a great success the kids had a great time and found a lot of eggs. I would like to send a special thanks to my wife Kris for her hard work and dedication to the kids of our temple without her the party would not be such a success.

On May, 14, 2011 there will be a temple clean up day, several of the members from the temple board, Beaver Valley, Knollwood and Ormus Grotto will be meeting to do some spring cleaning of the outside grounds. We will be having breakfast around 8:30 with fellowship then out to the yard for some work. If there are any Prophets that would like to join and have a green thumb get in contact with me for more information. Al Partida will be setting up the work schedule so let me or him know if you would like to help out. This is a great way of giving back to the temple and saving the temple some money by taking on some of the yard maintenance ourselves.

The Grotto is at work planning its annual Grotto ball, there will be more information to follow. If anyone has any suggestions for this year’s ball please let me know. On May, 2nd the clowns will be meeting at children’s medical center to visit the kids, even if you are not a clown grab your fez and join in on the fun. We will meet in the main lobby at 6pm. On June 11 we will be holding our spring full form ceremonial in Springfield starting at 2pm. Please come out and support your Grotto and as always if you need a ride to any event please let me or Bill Broomhall know and we will make arrangements.
Fraternally,
Brian Arnold , Monarch
