Beaver Valley's annual Grand Lodge Inspection took place on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. RWB Doug Boone was the inspecting officer, and there were a number of other brethren and distinguished Masons in attendance. Bro. Michael Williamson served as a pro tempore candidate for the EA degree, making this the 8th or 9th time he's been obligated!
The obligation was given by the Worshipful Master, WB Brian Arnold, the apron lecture was given by the Secretary, WB Al Partida, the degree lecture was given by the Senior Warden, Bro. Jeffrey Moore, and the charge was given by the Junior Deacon, Bro. Al Hurley.
RWB Boone gave a favorable report and a good day of Masonic fellowship was had by all in attendance.
We will try to post a group photo of the Lodge officers and Inspecting officers once they become available.

Beaver Valley Trestle Board for March, 2012
News From the Worshipful Master:
Brethren,
Well, it appears as if we have been lucky to escape “Old Man Winter” thus far. He has knocked a couple of times but I feel we have been lucky. I know spring is just around the corner, I heard the birds singing the other morning. Well, February has been a very busy month for us. On February 11, we hosted our annual awards night. RWB Boone was present to assist me in presenting the awards. We had about 25 brethren receiving awards this year for years of dedicated service to our Lodge and Fraternity. We had two 60 year members and three 50 year members along with a lot of 40, 35, & 25 year awards. We gave a special award to Brother Harold Stanaford for all the years of dedicated service he has shown by preparing all of the candidates for their degrees. Once again, I send a big THANK YOU to Harold for all of his work to the brethren of the Lodge.
On February 18, we held our annual inspection. I was very pleased with the turn out we had. I think we had around 65+ brethren in attendance. I would like to take the time to say thanks again to the officers. You all did a great job this year. For most of us being new I think it went very well. Your hard work paid off and has not gone unnoticed. I would also like to thank Brother Mike Williamson for being our candidate once again.
Our next meeting will be our stated meeting in March. The meal will be provided by Kay Cowen, which will be her famous beef stroganoff. I can’t wait for that. We have two new petitions to vote on this month so hopefully the last two weeks of March we can have their EA degrees completed.
As always if you need a ride to make it to the meetings please get a hold of me or WB Al Partida and we will see that you get to lodge,
Fraternally,
WB Brian S Arnold

Brethren,
As always, if your address, telephone number, or email address change, please notify me right away so I can change them in our records. Also, if you would like to attend Lodge meetings and need a ride, please let me or Worshipful Master Brian Arnold know. We do not want anyone to miss a meeting who wants to come, and will find a ride for you.
Fraternally and Sincerely,

As I mentioned in the bulletin last month, and as we’ve talked about at our last two meetings, we will be discussing our financial situation. Several ideas have been floated in the last few months, such as asking for a rent reduction, raising our dues, and even looking for a new location to meet. We will be finalizing whatever actions we plan to take at this meeting. Any and all suggestions for making the Grotto financially solvent will be heard and considered. Obviously, this will have an impact on all of us, so I hope you will all be able to come out and make your opinion heard. If you would like to attend this meeting or any other meeting but are concerned about transportation, please let me know and I will work with the other prophets to find a ride for you.
On a lighter note, plans are already in place for our Spring Ceremonial. As in the past, we will hold the ceremonial at the Springfield Masonic Temple in conjunction with Khana Shahar Grotto. The Ceremonial will be Saturday, May 12, at 3:00 p.m. Ormus Grotto will be responsible for the first and third sections of the Ceremonial and Khana Shahar will perform the esotery. We will finalize our “cast list” as we get a little closer to the appointed day.
We are also looking into having our Monarch’s Ball that same evening. I will have more details once those plans have been finalized.
As always, if you know any Master Masons in good standing who would like to become a Veiled Prophet, please let me know. It’s been awhile since we’ve had any new members and it would be nice to get a little “new blood” into the Grotto, especially at the Spring Ceremonial
Fraternally,
Jeffrey S. Moore, Monarch
