March 2011
News From The Worshipful Master
Brethren,
The weather is starting to break and all the Spring sports are ready to start. It is time for the grass and flowers to grow. So get those mowers ready to fire up.
February was another cold and wintery month. From the snow and ice we were not sure whether or not we would be able to hold our Stated Meting on February 3rd. But luckily the sun was able to melt off enough of the parking lot that we could get in and out. Our Deacons supplied a wonderful meal that evening. On the 17th of February we initiated one new brother into the order and examined our newest Maser Mason.
On March the 3rd Beaver Valley Lodge will hold its Stated Meeting at 7:30 P.M. Dinner will be served by the Tyler and Marshall. They will be serving fried chicken, bread, and mash potatoes. Dinner will start at 6:30 P.M. It is open to the family and/or guest. So come and join us and bring your favorite covered dish. On March 5th the 8th Masonic District will host the Grand Master’s Reception at Roberts Center in Wilmington, Ohio at 6:30 P.M. There will be a social hour before the dinner. The cost is $25 per ticket. 21 club members get in free but their guest have to pay for their ticket. Come on out and sponsor our Grand Master and other Grand Officers. All special meetings will be announced at the Stated Meeting on March 3rd. If you know of any candidate that is ready to advance to their next degree. Please let the Secretary or Master of the lodge know by the 3rd.
There is only one more weekend of inspections for the 8th Masonic District. March 11th and 12th are the last dates to get together. March 11th will be at New Burlington and March 12th in Wilmington. It has been a great inspection year. All the lodges have put on fantastic degree work.
Fraternally,
