News from the Worshipful Master
Brethren,
I hope the summer has found you well and in good spirit. It sure has been a change from the spring. The rain fall has sure taken a 180 from April and May here in Dayton. Hope your flowers and yards have survived the drought.
Well on the first of September Beaver Valley Lodge will return to light with its monthly Stated Business Meeting starting at 7:30 P.M. There will be a Covered Dish dinner at 6:30 P.M. The Senior and Junior Deacons will be in charge of this meal. Bro. Jeff Moore said they will be serving roast beef, mash potatoes, and gravy. So please prepare your favorite dish, and come and join us. Remember this is open up to the family and special guests. Brethren I would also like to invite you to come back and see the great work WB Al Partida and his crew have done on the Temple. They have been keeping up the yard work and cleaning the Temple. They also gave the ceiling in the social room a face lift. Thank you Al and your helpers. On September 10th and 11th Beaver Valley Lodge will be participating in the Beavercreek Pop Corn Festival. The Lodge will be selling Sugar Waffles again this year. Bro. Brain Arnold can sure use some help these two days on setting up the booth and manning the booth a couple hours each day at different hours. So please contact Bro. Brian at 937-212-4214 or bkarnold1512@yahoo.com if you can help.
On a less lighter note Beaver Valley Lodge has lost a several good brethren this summer to the Great Architect of the Universe. Our thoughts and condolacence go out to their families.
The 8th District is starting up a new program in the District. They are holding on the 4th Monday of each month an education meeting. October 1st is the Senior Wardens Dinner. It will be held at Jeffersonville Lodge at 6:30 P.M. Past Masters Convocation is on November 19th at New Burlington Lodge at 9:00 A.M. All Master’s Elect are required to attend. There will be more information later. On December 10th there will be a School of Instructions at Bloomingburg Lodge at 9:00 A.M.
